The winery was born in 2011 from Paolo Bartoloni’s desire to undertake a new adventure, following the traditional passion for viticulture that has always characterized the Bartoloni family, dedicated to agriculture since 1800.
Three generations of Bartoloni participated in the construction of the winery: grandfather Cavalier Paolo who dedicated his life to agriculture, having also been president of the Colli Spoletini social winery for more than 20 years; the engineer son. Giovanni who had the courage to believe in this investment by creating one of the most modern wineries in the area, his nephew Paolo, owner of the company, who still manages the Le Cimate winery.
The 28 hectares of land in which the company is located was purchased by the Bartoloni family in 1993 from the bishop’s curia of Spoleto. Paolo Bartoloni chose to name his project “Le Cimate”, taking inspiration from the hilly area in which the winery is located, which in fact is located at the top of a splendid hill with a
panoramic view of the Martani mountains and the city of Montefalco, a of the most evocative scenery in the heart of Umbria. Production focuses on the most important local wines, such as Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG, Montefalco Rosso DOC and Trebbiano Spoletino DOC, vinified to date in four different versions. In the conception of the cellar, space was given to traditional values, with an eye always turned to innovation and technology: a mix of elements that allows the quality level of the wines to be managed, guaranteed and controlled in the best possible way.

Umbria주 Montefalco 지역에 위치해 있는 cantina 가운데 하나입니다. 드넓은 포도밭과 올리브밭 사이에 덩그러니 위치해 있는데 경치가 매우 좋습니다. 시음을 위한 공간을 따로 갖추고 있으니 그리 넓은 편은 아닙니다. 그곳에는 자신들 이름을 걸고 판매하는 적포도주와 백포도주 그리고 올리브유를 전시해 두고 있습니다. 이곳 cantina에서 판매하는 백포도주는 독특한 맛을 지니고 있습니다. 상큼한 과일향이 나고 꿀 향기도 나는 아주 특색있고 독특한 와인입니다. 가격도 그리 부담스러운 것이 아닙니다. 원래 시음만 할 경우에는 3잔에 5유로를 받는다고 하는데 포도주를 구입할 경우 따로 시음비는 받지 않습니다. 이곳을 방문했을 때 젊은 여성분이 계셨는데 매우 친절하게 손님을 맞이해 주었습니다.

Właściciel przesympatyczny, zaangażowany w pracę, unowocześnianie i pomysły innowacyjne. Słucha się tego z ogromną przyjemnością. Potem degustacja od białych, przez różowe i czerwone. Na końcu passito wyjątkowe białe i czerwone super. Czekoladowy krem o wytrawnym smaku też wart grzechu.
Tu odczuwanie miłości do wina jest autentyczne. Stwierdziłam po tej wizycie ,że zakupy w sklepach to jak kupowanie produktów winopodobnych. Wniosek pic mniej ,ale lepsze i wyprodukowane z sercem.

Fantastic winery! I couldn’t believe the amount of work that goes into the process of wine making. There are MANY different amazing wines to choose from at Le Cimate; something for everyone. Not to mention they make olive oil and chocolate. My favorite part of the entire experience was that the owner himself led our wine tasting.

We stopped there to try their wines without booking and had a fantastic time! Melania spoke perfect English and was able to guide us through the different wines and their stories. Great classical wines and modern twists to taste and bring back home.
