Lago di Corbara DOC refers to the red and white typologies, with the possibility of producing wines from blends or from single vines in purity. The main characteristics of the vines that contribute individually or in blends to the production of Lago di Corbara DOC wines are the following:
Grechetto: the wine has a scent and has all the characteristics to be used pure.
Sermentino: it is delicately scented, soft and slightly bitter.
Sauvignon: it produces a wine with intense scents of ripe fruit, with a characteristic aroma,
Chardonnay: fresh, alcoholic, delicately fruity with aromas of banana, peach and pear, and with mineral and savoury notes, with a fine, elegant flavour with an excellent structure and a good acidic balance. Sangiovese: ruby red in colour, fruity, soft and persuasive, with aromas of cherry, raspberry, currant, and soft, velvety and elegant tannins.
Merlot: with a fruity, herbaceous aroma and a slightly tannic and very characteristic flavour. Cabernet Sauvignon: with characteristic hints of pepper and herbaceous notes, combined with aromas of ripe fruit Pinot Noir: perfumed with aromas of mint and tomato leaf, quite alcoholic, soft, elegant and velvety.
