In our winery, located a short distance from Todi, we produce traditional wines of the past: the classic Umbrian white and red ones (such as Grechetto, Sangiovese, Merlot) and true rarities obtained from ancient local vineyards rediscovered with hard work and passion.

We do everything the same way our grandparents did, we follow traditional methodologies and respect the natural maturation times of the grapes and wines.

Before being a farm, a winery or a bistrot, we are a family; this is why we want every guest, whether regular or passing through, to feel at home with us.

 

OUR TASTINGS

By choosing BOOK under the individual proposals, you will send a booking request to the winery which will reply to you for confirmation in short time.


CARONTE – 1h 30min – € 25pp
The proposal  includes: guided tour of the vineyards and the winery , welcome sparkling wine + tasting  4 wines from the “I NOTABILI range which includes: Trebbiano, Sangiovese, Cabernet, Viognier” included a platter of assorted typical products and bruschetta with our own oil production.


VIRGILIO – 1h 30min – € 30pp
The package includes: guided tour of the vineyards and the winery, welcome sparkling wine + tasting of 4 wines from the “Purgatorio range – Biancospino, Nerobacco, Selezione di Grechetto, Sangiovese Barrique” accompanied by a platter of assorted typical products and bruschetta with our own oil production.


BEATRICE – 1h 30min – € 40pp
The package includes: guided tour of the vineyards and the winery, welcome sparkling wine + tasting of 4 wines: Biccicocco, Barbadoro, Grero and Grechetto Passito) accompanied by a platter of assorted typical products and bruschetta with oil of our production.


CIACCO TASTING LUNCH – 3h – € 50pp
ONLY ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

The experience includes a guided tour of the farm and a lunch at the Zazzera Bistrot.
These are three different types of experience.
Guided tour of the farm and winery (about an hour) and lunch or dinner at the Zazzera Bistrot with:
Platter of local cured meats and cheeses;
Roasted chicken or pigeon with side dish;
Tozzetti and passito;
Water and service are included.
The food and wine experience will be combined with the tasting of three glasses of wine.


PAOLO E FRANCESCA TASTING LUNCH3h – € 65pp
ONLY ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

Guided tour of the company and winery (about an hour) and lunch at the Zazzera Bistrot with:
Platter of local cured meats and cheeses;
First course of our tradition;
Roast chicken or pigeon with side dish;
Dessert and passito
Water and service are included.
The food and wine experience will be combined with the tasting of four glasses of wine.


ULISSE TASTING LUNCH3h
ONLY ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

Guided tour of the company and winery (about an hour) and lunch at the Zazzera Bistrot with “à la carte” menu and choice of wines.
Guided tour is free and included in the cost of lunch or dinner.

My wife and I set up a tasting here while we were vacationing in Umbria. I was blown away by the quality of wines they have. The owner is doing some amazing things with wine and he allows the grape to shine. He treats each variety exactly how it should be treated. The results are astounding. I especially liked the wine made from the “Grero” grapes. This is a variety thought to have been lost. He has been working with the university to bring back into production. The result is so delicious! The output is minimal at this point with only 600 bottles produced. He is also doing great things with the Sangiovese and grechetto grapes. I am not usually a white or rose fan, but Zazzera has options that I truly like and even purchased. That says a lot. During our tasting the owner and his wife took us around the production to show us the process. You can tell during the tour that there is a passion for winemaking. I loved spending time with the owners. I left feeling like I had made friends. I cannot recommend a visit to this winery enough. Amazing products, great people, and a truly great experience.
